Policies
Registration
Enrollment in our classes is limited and will be accepted on first-come, first-served basis. When we receive your registration we will send confirmation and specific class information. If the class is full, you will be notified that you have been placed on a waiting list.
You must be 16 to participate in our adult classes - or have permission in advance of registration.
Payment
We accept cash, personal checks, money orders, traveler's checks and Visa and MasterCard. There is a $25 non-refundable registration fee to hold a spot in a class, and registration is non-transferable. There will be a $25 fee for switching from one class to another, space permitting. Remaining balance of the class fee is due 7 days prior to the start of classes.
Class Cancellations
We reserve the right to cancel a class if minimum enrollments are not met, in which case all tuition and fees will be refunded. Notification of cancellation will be made by phone at least 1 day prior to the start of the class, at which time students will be offered the option of another class, space permitting, or a full refund.
Refund Policy
No refunds of any payment will be made for notification of withdrawal within 7 days of the start of the class. Prior to that time, we will refund your tuition minus a $25 non-refundable registration fee.
Payment can be made directly at the Center, by phone, by mail or on-line.
Open Studio Rules

Only registered students in an adult-level class and “Open Studio” renters are permitted to work in the main studio or classroom

Anyone under 16 is not permitted to use the open studio or classroom if their class is not in session.

Friends and family are welcome to visit on occasion, but are not allowed to use the facilities or “hang-out” (meaning: staying around for an extended period, longer than 15 minutes).

On occasion, the studios will be closed for special events. Watch for postings on the message board.

This is a non-smoking facility.

No cell phones are allowed in the main studio area.

No Pets.

If you would like to use a piece of equipment, and are not sure how it works, please ask for help.

Use only clays and glazes either purchased through the Ceramic Center or approved by the Center's staff. No exceptions.

You must clean up your work area, wheels, tables, glaze or kiln before leaving the building.

When you are finished working, check the floor; if it is dirty, use the mop or broom.

Use headphones for music in the studio.

Please use only your assigned area on the storage shelves. Keep all of your things on these shelves. Do not store anything on the floor.
Firing Fees
Class participants may be charged firing fees for extra work made during the class. Individuals paying for open or private studio use will be also be charged for work produced according to the following schedule:
Electric Kiln
•All Temperatures -- $.006/cubic inch
Gas Reduction Kiln
•All Temperatures -- $.025/cubic inch
Soda Kiln
•All Temperatures -- $.035/cubic inch
***Open Studio and Private Studio renters may also puchase 1/2 or full kiln loads, please inquire about pricing.
